Te heinga / The opportunity We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented professional to join our compliance monitoring team in a full-time, fixed-term role through to June 2026. This position involves monitoring compliance of solid waste disposal and storage sites, as well as trade and industrial enterprises such as timber treatment plants, to ensure adherence to their resource consents. The role includes preparing and implementing monitoring programmes, conducting site inspections, collecting samples, recording data, and enforcing compliance where necessary.

You will assist in managing Northlands contaminated sites by maintaining the Hazardous Activities and Industries List (HAIL) database, responding to queries, and ensuring data consistency. This is a dynamic and impactful position that contributes directly to the protection and sustainability of Northlands environment. He krero mu / About you We are looking for someone who can bring the following skills, knowledge, personal qualities and experience to our diverse team: Relevant tertiary qualification.

2 years experience in a similar role. Previous experience in the implementation of environmental monitoring programmes. Proficient in the use of Microsoft systems e.

g. Word, Excel, Outlook. Ability to work well under pressure.

Ability to handle confidential or controversial information with discretion and professionalism. Ability to cope effectively with enforcement situations. Sound understanding of Mori culture.
